If your recording in a room with no acoustic treatment & your getting a echoey bathroom type of sound, using Adobe Auditions noise reduction plugin called "DeNoise" can help isolate your vocals & remove that room noise. Maybe your recording near a window with cars going by or dogs barking, maybe you have people in the room over being loud...Using Adobe Auditions "DeNoise" plugin will help fix all of that & isolate your vocals from the noise. Now lets say you dont have any echoey noise but for some reason your getting unwanted hiss in your mic, for an example the sm7b can give you alot of hiss if you dont have enough gain to power it...well if your getting hiss in your microphone, Adobe Auditions noise reduction plugin will help fix that aswell removing the hiss from your audio recording. This plugin can do wonders & I almost always use it on my vocals, even if its just a tiny little bit. If you have hiss or room noise in your audio, use Adobe Auditions "DeNoise"!
